Summary: | The invention discloses a method for regulating and controlling chrysanthemum flowering season. More particularly, the method comprises the following steps: tender stem apexes are taken from field chrysanthemum plants as an explant; tissue culture is carried out, then a single bud material is established, that is, a certain single bud is reproduced in successive generations; the single bud material is treated by methylation inhibitor for 30 days, the treated material undergoes rooting culture and is finally transplanted to the field for cultivation management. The method of the invention adopts 5-azacytidine chemical treatment to change the epigenetic information of chrysanthemum in tissue culture, therefore, the chrysanthemum blooms 7-9 days in advance, and the effect can be passed on byvegetative propagation, and in the next year, the plants growing from the treated material roots can still bloom 7-9 days in advance. |
