Summary:The control method includes following steps: CPU carries out basic initialization operation on Ethernet chip; CPU maps space addresses of data storage inside logic unit of hardware to space of system addresses being as storage space of shared data; setting up addresses of sending and receiving data as well as data descriptor in Ethernet chip as storage space address of mapped shared data; CPU informs logic unit of hardware that configuration of Ethernet chip is accomplished; logic unit of hardware starts controlling Ethernet chip for transmitting data. Using hardware logic instead of CPU to accomplish partial operation of controlling Ethernet chip for transmitting data so as to reduce process load of CPU. Thus, when using CPU with lower performance, system makes communication equipment possesses capability of transmission control of multiple Ethernet chips. The invention reduces cost and energy consumption of equipment.
