Method and device for determining the width of a safety corridor for an aircraft and method and system for securing the automatic low-altitude flight of an aircraft

The method involves estimating multiple errors, each presenting an impact on an automatic flight at low altitude of an aircraft. An excursion probability of a safety corridor whether exceeds or not is determined. Width of the corridor is determined from the errors and the excursion probability by a...

Summary:The method involves estimating multiple errors, each presenting an impact on an automatic flight at low altitude of an aircraft. An excursion probability of a safety corridor whether exceeds or not is determined. Width of the corridor is determined from the errors and the excursion probability by a determination unit (5), by taking into account a mathematical expression connecting together the errors, the probability and the width. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method to secure a low-level flying of an aircraft that is guided along a flight line (2) an aircraft comprising a device to determine the width of a safety corridor that is defined on both sides of a lateral path of a flight line of an aircraft and a system to secure a low-level flying of the aircraft.
