Summary: | The present invention discloses acetalization reaction process of trimethylol propane and paraformaldehyde in low polymerization degree in the presence of acid catalyst to synthesize monocyclic trimethylol propane formal. The process includes the first acetalization reaction of trimethylol propane and paraformaldehyde in a reaction and distillation set at 90-145 deg.c and normal pressure in the presence of acid catalyst, the subsequent acidolysis reaction at 125-185 deg.c and negative pressure, distilling and discharging produced monocyclic trimethylol propane formal and drying to obtain monocyclic trimethylol propane formal product. The process has simple technological path, mild and controllable reaction condition, high reactant converting rate, high selectivity and high product yield, and is easy use in industrial production. |
