Summary:Disclosed is a polarizing plate with excellent appearance which has excellent adhesion between a polarizer and a protective film and exhibits extremely excellent durability under high temperature, high humidity conditions. Also disclosed is an image display using such a polarizing plate. Specifically disclosed is a polarizing plate comprising a polarizer, an adhesive layer, an easily adhesive layer and a protective film composed of a film mainly containing a cyclic olefin resin. The easily adhesive layer contains a silane having a reactive functional group and has a thickness of 1-50 nm. Also specifically disclosed is an image display comprising such a polarizing plate.
