Summary:This invention relates to a reduction method for preparing multi-component composite rare earth W powder. The average particle size of multi-component composite rare earth W powder prepared by traditional process is 0.9-1 mu.m, and the powder is sensitive to the following sintering and processing procedures, thus the process is difficult to control, and the product qualification rate is low. The method reduces the first reduction temperature, and raises the second reduction temperature. The temperature distribution from the raw material feeding mouth in the first reduction is 440-460 deg.C, 490-520 deg.C, 540-560 deg.C, 610-630 deg.C and 540-560 deg.C. The temperature distribution from the raw material feeding mouth in the second reduction is 740-760 deg.C, 840-860 deg.C, 940-960 deg.C, 940-960 deg.C and 840-860 deg.C. The average particle size of the obtained multi-component composite rare earth W powder is 1.2-1.6 mu.m. The powder has such advantages as appropriate activity, easy control of following sintering, high qualification rate (higher than 75%), and low electricity consumption (reduced by 5%).
