Summary:When the reception diversity has been interrupted, the communication with a base station is caused to continue. When a determining part of a mobile communication terminal determines that predetermined interruption requirements for interrupting the reception diversity are satisfied, a gain control part of a digital base band circuitry (20) decrements, by predetermined value at predetermined intervals, the gain of an AGC (14B) included in an RF receiver circuitry (10B) the diversity of which is to be interrupted. After the level of a signal outputted from the AGC (14B) becomes zero, the reception diversity is interrupted.
