The process of selectively breeding and establishing cultivated Fugu obscurus line includes the following steps: 1. selecting parent fishes with high vitality, great weight and normal body characteristic, selecting candidate family line, separate raising of each fish, and selecting excellent line as the basic line for the next step of selective breeding; and 2. optimizing the line in the key growth stages of young fish stage, commercial fish stage and mature stage. The present invention is superior in that the process can selectively breed new cultivated Fugu obscurus line with high yield, high quality and no toxicity, and that by means of the inbreeding of female and male fishes inside Fugu obscurus line, it is possible to research the genetic characteristic and variety differentiating status of Fugu obscurus.
