More Information
Summary:The method involves executing a control of combustion misfire for a cylinder (5) that includes a desired combustion misfire. The gas exchange of the cylinder is misfired when the combustion misfire is detected for a preset time or a preset crank angle such that an inlet valve and/or an outlet valve is deactivated. A fresh air is supplied by the cylinder with a throttle valve (70) via an air duct (60). A position of the throttle valve is controlled by a motor control (80) depending on an actuation level of a drive pedal and/or depending on torque requirements of different vehicle components. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating an internal combustion engine.
