One aspect of the invention provides a method, computer readable medium and system for receiving a non-translated telephone call at a wireless carrier including determining a serial number associated with the call based solely on a phone number associated with the call and routing the call from the wireless carrier to a mobile device based on the determination. Another aspect of the invention provides a method and computer readable medium for providing a communication number to the mobile device including receiving a non-geographic phone number, providing an equipment serial number unique to a mobile device, linking the phone number to the equipment serial number in a database, storing the phone number and equipment serial number to the mobile device and assigning the mobile device to a subscriber.
