Summary: | It is intended to provide a method of exactly presuming the metabolism of a drug in the human liver and its effect on the liver function. Namely, a method of presuming the metabolite of a test substance in the human liver and the liver function characterized by comprising administering the test substance to a nonhuman chimeric animal, which has human-origin hepatocytes having proliferative ability and in which the hepatocytes substantially have the liver functions of the chimeric animal, and a non-chimeric animal of the same species while protecting the animals from the attack by human complements produced by the hepatocytes, and then analyzing and comparing the metabolites of the chimeric animal and the non-chimeric animal. |
