The intelligent blind person walk guiding instrument consists of a main control module comprising main control circuit and upper ultrasonic detecting circuit, a phonetic warning module a radio transmission module and a vibration warning module connected via wires to the main control module, and ultrasonic detecting stick module wireless connected to the main control module. The present invention also provides the walk guiding method of the intelligent blind person walk guiding instrument, and the method includes sending out ultrasonic wave with the main control module and the ultrasonic detecting stick module, feeding the obstacle reflecting signal to the main control CPU to calculate the distance to the obstacle and sending out different phonetic warning signals or different frequency vibration signals based on the different orientations.
