Summary:The roof or wall covering comprises individual hollow profile panels (15a-15d), in particular of plastic, which permit a lateral groove-and-tongue connection and are concavely drawn in, transversely to their longitudinal direction, on the upper and lower surfaces. In the interior of the hollow profile panels (15a-15d), there are located profile chambers (17, 18, 19) which pass through in the longitudinal direction and permit a carrier fluid to be received, either directly or in drawn-in lines (20, 21, 22), provided that they are used in conjunction with solar-energy systems. Connecting pieces, which can be pushed into the profile chambers (17, 18, 19), permit the connection of a plurality of hollow profile panels (15a-15d) in the longitudinal direction. In order to simplify mounting, there are provided fastening elements which engage in the grooves of the groove-and-tongue connection and exhibit base plates, which are fastened on the substructure and are used, at the same time, for the sliding support of sliding surfaces on the edges of the hollow profile panels (15a-15d). When used in solar-energy systems, air can be sucked through the profile chambers (17-19) of the hollow profile panels (15a-15d) and heated and fed to a heat pump. Furthermore, the profile chambers (17-19) can form a closed system which channels a carrier liquid.
