Summary:The window consists of a sheet of silicate glass (1) placed in a frame (2). The frame (2) bears, on its face facing the opening, an angle section (3) which supports the sheet of glass (1) by means of sealing strips (4, 5). The sheet of glass (1) exposed to the effect of heat during a fire is subjected to a heat effect which is more or less uniform over its edges. In order to provide the window with a normal and pleasant appearance, without in any way weakening its fire resistance, a listel (8) which is destroyed by the action of fire is placed around the sheet of glass, in the region of its framing.
