Summary:1476827 Compositions containing vincaminic acid esters SYNTHELABO 24 June 1975 [27 June 1974] 26807/75 Addition to 1432503 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions having vasodilating and anti-anoxia activity, for oral or parenteral administration, comprise a compound I: in which R 1 is H or OH and R 2 is H or R 1 and R 2 together form an additional bond between the carbon atoms to which they are attached, and each of R 3 , R 4 and R 5 is H or CH 3 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, together a pharmaceutically acceptable crrier or diluent. The compositions may also contain ascorbic acid or salt or complex thereof, e.g. an equimolecular complex of ascorbic acid with nicotinamide or pyridoxine.
