Summary:1323112 Adhesive cartridge for anchoring bolts BECORIT GRUBENAUSBAU GmbH 13 July 1970 [11 July 1969] 33869/70 Heading B8C [Also in Division F2] A destructible cartridge of components of an adhesive comprises a settable synthetic resin in an easily breakable casing 1 and a hardener for the resin in at least one easily breakable container extending over at least part of the length of the casing 3, 4, 5, wherein the hardener, as regards its quantity or specific hardening property is distributed non-uniformly along the length of the said part of the length of the casing. Thus the hardener container may be larger at one end (Fig. 1, not shown) or a plurality of hardener containers may be at one end or a divided hardener container may have a more potent hardener in a compartment at one end (Fig. 3, not shown). After drilling a hole the cartridge is inserted with the faster setting end innermost and an anchor bolt pressed into the hole. The containers break, and the resin and hardener are mixed by the bolt as it is inserted. The slower setting mixture at the outer end permits the bolt to be inserted to the further end of the hole where the faster setting resin, on mixing, quickly sets to permit use of the anchor bolt.
