Summary:An improvement in the process of treating textile materials with aqueous compositions of polyisocyanate materials containing free-isocyanate groups is obtained by incorporating silica sol in the composition. The presence of the silica sol allows the compositions to be applied by the exhaustion method. Optionally, emulsion stabilizer, e.g., polymers of vinyl monomers can be added, as well as electrolytes which speed up drawing onto the textile fibers.
