Summary: | Wool printing/dyeing compositions consists of aqueous dye preparations containing (I) alkali or alkaline earth aryl sulphonates, (II) addn. compds. of alkylene oxide and aliphatic alcohols, and (III) optionally partly hydrolysed alkyl phosphates. The compositions enable wool fibres to be printed/dyed by relatively simple continuous operations, to give effectively dyed/printed products. This arises as a consequence of the reduced tendency of the dye composition to migrate towards the interior of the wool fibres during fixing by steaming or other operations. |
