Summary: | An emulsifying agent comprises mixtures of polymerization products of monomeric unsaturated fatty alcohols, containing at least twelve carbon atoms, with the hydroxyl groups of starting substances largely unaltered. Exemplified alcohols are dodecylene oleyl ricinoleyl linoleyl and similar ester reduction products. Emulsified are beef tallow, "Vaseline" (Registered Trade Mark), and unspecified natural or synthetic oils, fats and waxes. The water-in-oil emulsions may be reversed by the addition of fatty alcohol sulphates, alkylpolyglycol ether, glycerine alkyl ether or glycerine alkyl ester sulphates. |
