Summary: | 751,340. Repeaters. JOB, F., and CLAVIER, P. J. M. Oct. 7, 1954 [Oct. 17, 1953], No. 28961/54. Class 40 (4). Repeater stations connected by sections of a telephone cable are supplied with power from a main station through a plurality of distinct power supply circuits, at least some of which include a number of conductors of at least one section of the cable connected in parallel, the number of conductors so connected in parallel being larger at greater distances from the main station. As shown, a main station A supplies power to stations I and II in series through circuit 1 and to station III through circuit 2. Station IV is supplied through the first three sections of circuit 3 and the fourth sections of circuits 2 and 3 in parallel. The power supply circuit for station V consists of the first two sections of circuit 4, the third and fourth sections of circuits 1 and 4 in parallel, and the fifth sections of circuits 1, 2, 3 and 4 in parallel. Calculations are given for the power supply voltages U1-U5 required in various conditions. |
