Summary:A thermocouple has an electropositive element composed of an alloy consisting of over 10 per cent and up to 25 per cent Cr, 0.5-2 per cent Si, 0-2 per cent Nb, 0-2 per cent Fe, up to 0.15 per cent C, 0-2 per cent Mn, 0-0.2 per cent of Mg, alkaline earth metals and/or rare earth metals, 0-0.4 per cent Al and/or Zr, the balance Ni with normal impurities and an electronegative element composed of an alloy consisting of 2-7 per cent Si, up to 0.15 per cent C, the balance Ni and normal impurities.
