[Also in Division C5] Hydrocarbon feed from a tank 10 is mixed with liquid CO 2 from a compressor and storage unit 20, cooled in exchanger 30 by direct heat exchange with mother liquor from a separator 50, mixed with a portidn of the slurry from a crystallizer 40, partially crystallized in crystallizer 40 by evaporation of liquid CO 2 , and converted to a p-xylene crystal cake in separator 50.
