Summary: | The present application discloses an oilseed rape green revolution gene bgr and usethereof. The gene bgr can significantly reduce the height of oilseed rape plants, make the stemsthick and strong, realize lodging resistance, reduce the branching angle, compact the plantarchitecture, and effectively improve the harvest index. The gene 5 has a significant heterosis,and the heterozygous bgr can enable tetraploid oilseed rapes (Brassica napus and Brassicajuncea) to have more ideal plant architecture characteristics, wherein the plant height is 120to 160 cm, the plant architecture is compact, and the branching angle is small (<30°), theposition of the first branching is lowered, the harvest index is improved by about 29.03%, the10 method is suitable for dense planting, the yield is significant increased by 11% to 27%. Theoil content of hybrid Brassica napus with bgr is substantially increased up to 51.7% to 54.86%,which is 9.14% to 19.26% higher than that of common high-oil oilseed rape varieties. Thepresent application contributes valuable gene resources for oilseed rape breeding, and providesan effective means for the creation of new oilseed rape germplasm. |
