La présente invention divulgue un procédé de préparation de composés pyridine substitués de formule (I), qui comprend une étape au cours de laquelle des nitriles vinylogues de formule (II) sont obtenus à partir de composés nitriles ?,?-insaturés substitués de formule (III), et une étape supplémentaire de conversion des composés nitriles vinylogues de formule (II) en pyridines substituées de formule (I); dans lesquelles R1, R2, R3, R4 et LG sont tels que définis dans la description.
