The invention relates to a method for sealing a reduction assembly, wherein the reduction assembly has a product discharge device, wherein the product discharge device is supplied with sealing gas and wherein at least one compressor is provided for delivering prepared sealing gas to the product discharge device, wherein according to the invention, at least one nitrogen generator is provided for producing pure sealing gas, and wherein the sealing gas for supplying to the product discharge device is composed of pure sealing gas from the at least one nitrogen generator or composed of pure sealing gas from the at least one nitrogen generator and of prepared sealing gas from the at least one compressor. The invention also relates to a device with which the method according to the invention is carried out. L'invention décrit une méthode visant à étanchéifier un ensemble réduction. L'ensemble réduction dispose d'un dispositif d'évacuation de produit, alimenté en gaz d'étanchéité et dans lequel au moins un compresseur est fourni dans le but d'alimenter le dispositif d'évacuation de produit en gaz d'étanchéité préparé. Selon l'invention, au moins une génératrice d'azote est fournie dans le but de produire du gaz d'étanchéité pur. Le gaz d'étanchéité alimentant le dispositif d'évacuation de produit est composé de gaz d'étanchéité pur provenant de toute génératrice d'azote ou de composé de gaz d'étanchéité pur provenant de toute génératrice d'azote et de gaz d'étanchéité préparé fourni par tout compresseur. L'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant d'effectuer le procédé en fonction de l'invention.
