Summary: | Provided are a strain and method for producing rosmarinic acid. Recombinant cells expressing 4-coumarate-CoA ligase, rosmarinic acid synthase, polyphosphate kinase 2-I, and polyphosphate kinase 2-II or combinations of the recombinant cells are constructed, and the recombinant cells or the combinations of the recombinant cells are used for catalyzing synthesis of rosmarinic acid from Danshensu and caffeic acid.
