The present invention relates to montelukast for use in the treatment of erosive hand osteoarthritis. According to this use, montelukast can be administered either orally or topically, in the form of any suitable pharmaceutical composition. Patients suffering from erosive hand osteoarthritis treated with montelukast showed improvement in clinical symptoms and in radiological parameters, and also reported pain relief and hand functionality improvement. La présente invention concerne du montélukast à utiliser dans le traitement de l'ostéoarthrite érosive de la main. Selon cette utilisation, le montélukast peut être administré soit par voie buccale soit topique, sous la forme d'une quelconque composition pharmaceutique appropriée. Les patients·es souffrant d'ostéoarthrite érosive de la main traités·es avec du montélukast ont présenté une amélioration des symptômes cliniques et des paramètres radiologiques, et ont également rapporté un soulagement de la douleur et une amélioration de la fonctionnalité de la main.
