A method that includes receiving, in a medication delivery module, a command to start a medication delivery from a first control module coupled to the medication delivery module, is provided. The command to start the medication delivery is based on clinical information received at the first control module. The method includes recording, in a memory of the medication delivery module, an update of the medication delivery, receiving an indication that the medication delivery module was decoupled from the first control module, and receiving an indication that the medication delivery module has become coupled with a second control module. The method also includes communicating, in response, with the second control module, to update the clinical information. A system and a non-transitory, computer readable medium storing instructions to perform the above method are also provided. L'invention concerne un procédé qui consiste à recevoir, dans un module de distribution de médicament, une instruction pour démarrer une administration de médicament à partir d'un premier module de commande couplé au module de distribution de médicament. L'instruction pour démarrer la distribution de médicament est basée sur des informations cliniques reçues au niveau du premier module de commande. Le procédé consiste à enregistrer, dans une mémoire du module de distribution de médicament, une mise à jour de l'administration de médicament, recevoir une indication selon laquelle le module de distribution de médicament a été découplé du premier module de commande, et recevoir une indication selon laquelle le module de distribution de médicament a été couplé à un second module de commande. Le procédé consiste également, en réponse, à communiquer au second module de commande de mettre à jour les informations cliniques.
