The present invention relates to a composition for feeding a ruminant comprising i)a core comprising or consisting of a biologically active ingredient selected from the list consisting of i) amino acids, derivatives of amino acids, and/or salts of amino acids and/or of their derivatives, ii) proteins, iii) peptides, iv) carbohydrates, v) vitamins, and substances having similar functions, vi) probiotic microorganisms, vii) prebiotic foods, viii) choline and salts and/or derivatives thereof, and ix) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), and salts and/or derivatives thereof, and ii) a coating surrounding said core, wherein said coating comprises one or more layers of a mixture comprising a saturated fat, and a fatty acid, and said coating comprises from 60 wt.-% +/-10% to 80 wt.-% +/- 0% of the saturated fat and from 20 wt.-% +/-10% to 40 wt.-% +/-10% of the fatty acid, each based on the total weight of the coating, wherein the composition comprises from 5 wt.-% +/-10% to 30 wt.-% +/-10% of the coating, based on the total weight of the composition. La présente invention concerne une composition pour l'alimentation d'un ruminant comprenant i) un noyau comprenant ou constitué d'un ingrédient biologiquement actif choisi dans la liste consistant en i) acides aminés, dérivés d'acides aminés et/ou sels d'acides aminés et/ou leurs dérivés, ii) protéines, iii) peptides, iv) glucides, v) vitamines, et substances ayant des fonctions similaires, vi) microorganismes probiotiques, vii) aliments prébiotiques, viii) choline et sels et/ou dérivés de celle-ci, et ix) des acides gras polyinsaturés (AGPI), et des sels et/ou des dérivés de ceux-ci, et ii) un revêtement entourant ledit noyau, ledit revêtement comprenant une ou plusieurs couches d'un mélange comprenant une graisse saturée, et un acide gras, et ledit revêtement comprenant de 60 % pds +/-10% à 80 % pds +/- 0% de la graisse saturée et de 20 % pds +/-10% à 40 % pds +/-10% de l'acide gras, chacun rapporté au poids total du revêtement, la composition comprenant de 5 % pds +/-10% à 30 % pds +/-10% du revêtement, rapporté au poids total de la composition.
