The process produces a diesel from a biorenewable feedstock by hydrotreating to remove heteroatoms and saturate olefins. The biorenewable feedstock is contacted in a guard bed reactor in the presence of hydrogen to saturate olefins and remove metals to produce a contacted feed stream. The contacted feed stream is then heated in a charge heater to a higher temperature than in the guard bed reactor and hydrotreated in the presence of a hydrotreating hydrogen stream and a hydrotreating catalyst to deoxygenate the contacted feed stream to provide a hydrotreated stream. Le procédé produit un diesel à partir dune charge dalimentation biorenouvelable par voie dhydrotraitement en vue déliminer les hétéroatomes et les oléfines saturées. La charge dalimentation biorenouvelable est mise en contact en présence dhydrogène dans un réacteur à lit de protection afin de saturer les oléfines et déliminer les métaux en vue de produire un débit dalimentation mis en contact. Par la suite, on chauffe le débit dalimentation mis en contact dans un dispositif de chauffage de charge jusquà ce quil atteigne une température supérieure à la température à lintérieur du réacteur à lit de protection, puis on procède à lhydrotraitement du débit mis en contact en la présence dun débit dhydrogène dhydrotraitement et dun catalyseur dhydrotraitement afin de désoxygéner le débit dalimentation en vue de fournir un débit hydrotraité.
