The present invention minimizes the burden on patients with chronic joint diseases while also achieving excellent medicinal effects by means of a composition for treating joint diseases which includes a modified hyaluronic acid having a group derived from an anti-inflammatory compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the modified hyaluronic acid, and which is used by being administered to patients with human joint diseases as a single injection per period of four or more weeks.
