L'invention concerne un bras de support destiné à supporter un dispositif chirurgical dans un bloc opératoire. Le bras de support est constitué d'une extrusion tubulaire allongée ayant une surface externe généralement en forme de goutte inversée qui a une forme de profil aérodynamique. La forme de profil aérodynamique est symétrique autour d'un axe s'étendant d'une extrémité avant du profil aérodynamique à une extrémité arrière de la forme de profil aérodynamique.
