[Problem] To provide a means that, during the intraoral use of a dental prosthesis, can more effectively stop the invasion of bacteria from between the dental prosthesis and the gums and the infection as well as inflammation associated therewith, in comparison to the prior art. [Solution] A dental prosthesis or a component thereof characterized in that: the dental prosthesis or the component thereof has hydroxyapatite microparticles on the surface of the dental prosthesis or the component thereof; the hydroxyapatite microparticles are sintered bodies; and the average particle size of the hydroxyapatite microparticles is 10 to 1,000 nm. La présente invention concerne un moyen qui, pendant l'utilisation intra-orale d'une prothèse dentaire, peut arrêter, plus efficacement que les moyens de l'art antérieur, l'invasion de bactéries entre la prothèse dentaire et les gencives et l'infection ainsi que l'inflammation qui y sont associées. La prothèse dentaire ou un composant de celle-ci se caractérise en ce que : la prothèse dentaire ou son composant comprend des microparticules d'hydroxyapatite sur la surface de la prothèse dentaire ou de son composant ; les microparticules d'hydroxyapatite sont des corps frittés ; et la taille moyenne des particules des microparticules d'hydroxyapatite est comprise 10 et 1000 nm.
