Cette invention concerne un luminaire de grande hauteur, comprend un dissipateur thermique ayant une configuration sensiblement en forme de disque. Un émetteur de lumière est connecté au dissipateur thermique. Un réflecteur est connecté au dissipateur thermique. Un étrier est connecté au dissipateur thermique. L'étrier possède un premier bras, un second bras et une barre supérieure. Un élément de commande est relié à l'étrier de sorte que l'élément de commande s'étende entre le premier bras et le second bras.
