At least one component of the pen needle assembly other than the metal needle is manufactured of a biodegradable polymer, thereby providing a more environmentally friendly pen needle assembly for a drug delivery device. Un assemblage daiguille de stylo comprend un moyeu et une aiguille en métal fixée au moyeu. Un élément de couvercle reçoit de façon amovible le moyeu pour couvrir la première extrémité de laiguille. Un élément scellant couvre une deuxième extrémité de laiguille. Au moins un composant de lassemblage daiguille de stylo autre que laiguille en métal est fabriqué à partir dun polymère biodégradable pour offrir un assemblage daiguille de stylo présentant moins de danger pour lenvironnement à un dispositif dadministration de médicament.
