Situational-awareness controllers and methods to increase situational- awareness for an actor associated with a triggering event are described. An example method includes in response to receiving a notification of a triggering event generated by at least one sensor, a computing device accessing information that includes related to an actor associated with the triggering event. The computing device correlates the information to a compilation of historical information by (i) determining whether the actor's location is associated with one or more safety events stored as part of the compilation of historical information and (ii) determining a risk level of the actor based on whether the one or more associated safety events occurred within a predetermined range of time from the time associated with the triggering event. The computing device generates a command based on a result of the correlating and sends the command to at least one controllable device. Il est décrit des contrôleurs ou contrôleuses et des méthodes de connaissance de la situation servant à améliorer la connaissance de la situation pour une cible associée à un événement déclencheur. Une méthode servant dexemple consiste à accéder, par suite de la réception dun avis dévénement déclencheur, à des informations au moyen dun appareil informatique, lesquelles informations concernent une cible associée à lévénement. Lappareil informatique fait une mise en correspondance des informations et dune compilation dinformations historiques comme suit : i) déterminer si lemplacement de la cible sassocie à au moins un événement de sécurité enregistré dans la compilation dinformations historiques; ii) déterminer un niveau de risque de la cible selon quau moins un événement de sécurité associé a eu lieu pendant une période prédéterminée suivant le moment associé à lévénement déclencheur. Lappareil électronique génère une commande en fonction du résultat de la mise en correspondance, puis envoie la commande à au moins un dispositif pouvant être contrôlé.
