In respect of the object of a mop cover (1", 1"', 1'") comprising a sheet-like main body (5", 5''', 5"") with four outer edges (6"a, 6"b, 6"c, 6"d, 6'''a, 6'''b, 6"'c, 6'''d, 6""a, 6""b, 6""c, 6""d), wherein a first relatively long outer edge (6"a, 6'''a, 6'''a) is oriented parallel to a second relatively long outer edge (6"b, 6'''b, 6'''b), wherein the first relatively long outer edge (6"a, 6'''a, 6'''a) is longer than the second relatively long outer edge (6"b, 6'''b, 6"''b), wherein two relatively short outer edges (6"c, 6"'c, 6'''c, 6"d, 6'''d, 6"''d) extend in each case between the relatively long outer edges (6"a, 6"b, 6'''a, 6'''b, 6'''a, 6'''b), and wherein the main body (5", 5''', 5''") is assigned at least two pockets (2", 2''', 2"''), into which wings (3') or tensioning elements of a mop (4') can be introduced in order to tension the sheet-like main body (5", 5''', 5"''), being configured, and developed, such that said mop cover can be readily gripped, and tensioned, by rectangular wings, wherein the mop cover can be guided effectively for cleaning purposes with the greatest possible degrees of freedom in corner regions, a mop cover of the type mentioned in the introduction is characterized in that at least one outer edge (6"a, 6"b, 6"c, 6"d, 6'''a, 6'''b, 6"'c, 6'''d, 6"a, 6"''b, 6"''c, 6"''d) and/or at least one pocket (2", 2''', 2''") are/is assigned at least one stiffening element (7", 7''', 7''") for the partially reinforced stiffening of the main body (5", 5''', 5'''). L'invention vise à configurer et à perfectionner une garniture d'essuyage du type mentionné en introduction de telle manière que ladite garniture d'essuyage puisse être saisie et tendue sans problème avec des ailes rectangulaires. La garniture d'essuyage peut être guidée avec efficacité dans des zones d'angle aux fins du nettoyage selon de nombreux degrés de liberté possibles. Selon l'invention, au moins un élément de raidissement (7", 7"', 7"") servant au raidissement renforcé par endroits du corps de base (5", 5"', 5"") est associé à au moins une arête extérieure (6"a, 6"b, 6"c, 6"d, 6"'a, 6"'b, 6"'c, 6"'d, 6""a, 6""b, 6""c, 6""d) et/ou à au moins une poche (2", 2"', 2"")
