The invention relates to a sealing nut comprising a nut and a deformable sealing ring, the nut comprising an annular casing, a base comprising a chamber, a bore in the base, the bore comprising a bottom annular wall having a length extending between a first inside section and a second inside section, the sealing ring comprising an annular casing and an end face that can be rested against the bottom wall, the end face having a length extending between an inside section and an outside section. The ratio of the length of the bottom wall of the bore to the end face of the ring is somewhere between 20% and 45%. The invention is applicable to aircraft structure assemblies. L'invention porte sur un écrou étanche comportant un écrou et une bague d'étanchéité déformable, l'écrou comportant un corps annulaire, une embase comportant une chambre, un alésage réalisé dans l'embase, l'alésage comprenant une paroi de fond annulaire ayant une longueur s'étendant entre un premier rayon intérieur et un deuxième rayon intérieur, la bague d'étanchéité comprenant un corps annulaire et une face d'extrémité apte à reposer contre la paroi de fond, la face d'extrémité ayant une longueur s'étendant entre un rayon intérieur et un rayon extérieur. Le rapport de la longueur de la paroi de fond de l'alésage et la longueur de la face d'extrémité de la bague est compris entre 20% et 45%. L'invention est applicable aux assemblages de structures d'avion.
