The present disclosure relates to a method for determining (200) an access point to be used by a communication terminal for accessing a wireless communication network. According to the present disclosure, the method comprises a detection of at least one access point by the terminal, a verification of the belonging to the local network of at least one of the detected access points and a selection of the access point to be used from among the detected access points verified as belonging to the communication network. La présente invention concerne un procédé visant à déterminer (200) un point d'accès à utiliser par un terminal de communications pour accéder à un réseau de communications sans fil. Selon la présente invention, le procédé comporte une détection d'au moins un point d'accès par le terminal, une confirmation de l'appartenance au réseau local d'au moins un des points d'accès détectés et une sélection du point d'accès pour être utilisé parmi les points d'accès détectés confirmés comme appartenant au réseau de communication.
