Summary:Hitherto known gratings for covering shafts, channels or similar structures comprise peripheral rails (10, 10') cross-bars (20) that are joined to the peripheral rails (10, 10') and consist of sheet metal sections, and longitudinal bars (30) joined to the cross-bars (20). In order to provide a better foothold and improved anti-skid properties, the longitudinal bars (30) are secured to the cross-bars (20) in such a way that top stepping surfaces (31) of the longitudinal bars (30) are lower than or flush with at least stepping portions (21) of upper edges (22) of the cross-bars (20). L'invention concerne des grilles de couverture destinées à couvrir des regards, des caniveaux ou des ouvrages similaires, comprenant des glissières latérales (10, 10'), des éléments transversaux (20) formés par des segments de tôle, reliés aux glissières latérales (10, 10'), et des éléments longitudinaux (30) reliés aux éléments transversaux (20). Afin d'augmenter la sécurité de cheminement ou les propriétés antidérapantes, il est proposé que les éléments longitudinaux (30) soient fixés aux éléments transversaux (20) de telle manière que les surfaces supérieures de cheminement (31) des éléments longitudinaux (30) sont renfoncées au moins par rapport à des sections de cheminement (21) des bords supérieurs (22) des éléments transversaux (20), ou à fleur avec celles-ci.
