An apparatus for containing leaks from a stuffing box on a wellhead production assembly is provided. The apparatus comprises a containment vessel consisting of two half shells that are joined below the stuffing box. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a transparent lid having an upper opening to receive a polished rod extending from the stuffing box. The lid is secured to the containment vessel in a liquid tight manner such that the stuffing box is substantially isolated from the environment. As such, any leaks originating from the stuffing box will be contained in the apparatus. L'invention concerne un appareil qui permet de contenir des fuites d'un presse-étoupe sur un ensemble de production de tête de puits. L'appareil comporte un récipient de rétention constitué par deux demi-coques qui sont reliées en dessous du presse-étoupe. De plus, l'appareil comporte un couvercle transparent ayant une ouverture supérieure pour recevoir une tige polie s'étendant à partir du presse-étoupe. Le couvercle est fixé à l'enveloppe de confinement de façon étanche aux liquides, de telle sorte que le presse-étoupe est sensiblement isolé de l'environnement. Ainsi, toute fuite provenant du presse-étoupe sera contenue dans l'appareil.
