OXIDATIVE DEHYDROGENATION OF ETHANE TO ETHYLENE AND PREPARATION OF MULTIMETALLIC MIXED OXIDE CATALYST FOR SUCH PROCESS

The invention relates to the oxidative dehydrogenation of light paraffins, such as ethane, at moderate temperatures (<500°C) in order to produce ethylene without the formation of by-products, such as acetic acid and/or other oxygenated hydrocarbons, carried out using tellurium-free multi-metal ca...

Summary:The invention relates to the oxidative dehydrogenation of light paraffins, such as ethane, at moderate temperatures (<500°C) in order to produce ethylene without the formation of by-products, such as acetic acid and/or other oxygenated hydrocarbons, carried out using tellurium-free multi-metal catalysts having orthorhombic phase M1 and other crystalline structures that play an important role in the production of high-yield catalysts for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene. Such catalysts are produced using thermal or hydrothermal methods.
