Summary:A movable contact arm assembly (100) is provided for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker (2). The movable contact arm assembly (100) includes a first member (102), and a second member (104) attached to the first member (102). The first member (102) is made from a first material, such as steel, and the second member (104) is made from a second different material, such as copper. The first and second members (102,104) each include first and second ends (106,110,108,112). The first end (106) of the first member (102) cooperates with the operating mechanism (10) of the circuit breaker (2). The first end (110) of the second member (104) is attached to the second end (108) of the first member (102). A movable contact (8) is disposed on the second end (112) of the second member (104).
