Summary:The present invention relates to oral controlled-release formulations of 5-(pyridiny1)-2(1H)-pyridinone compounds of Formula (1) and their use in the treatment of a subject with heart failure, a stage, class or manifestation of heart failure, or at risk of developing or exhibiting symptoms of heart failure. The formulations of the invention release the compounds of Folinula (I) in the the range of between 0.1 pg/kg body weight/minute and 20 g/kg body weight/minute. La présente invention concerne des formulations orales, à libération contrôlée, de composés 5-(pyridinyl)-2(1H)-pyridinones et leur utilisation dans le traitement d'un sujet présentant une insuffisance cardiaque, un stade, une classe ou une manifestation d'insuffisance cardiaque, ou présentant un risque de développer ou de présenter des symptômes d'insuffisance cardiaque. Les formulations de l'invention libèrent les composés dans la plage d'entre 0,1 µg/kg de poids corporel/minute et 20 µg/kg de poids corporel/minute.
