Methods of treating patients suffering from certain diseases and disorders responsive to the inhibition of Syk activity, which comprises administering to such patients an amount of at least one chemical entity effective to reduce signs or symptoms of the disease or disorder are provided. Also provided are methods for determining the presence or absence of Syk kinase in a sample. L'invention concerne certaines imidazopyridines (I) et leurs compositions pharmaceutiques. L'invention concerne également des procédés de traitement de patients souffrant de certaines maladies ou troubles sensibles à l'inhibition de l'activité de Syk, qui comprennent l'administration à ces patients d'une quantité d'au moins une entité chimique efficace pour réduire les signes ou les symptômes de la maladie ou du trouble. L'invention concerne aussi des procédés permettant de déterminer la présence ou l'absence de la kinase Syk dans un échantillon.
