Apparatus (200) also includes accumulators (2212, 214, 222, 223, 226), and pressure relief valves (224, 225). L'invention concerne un appareil hydraulique (200) destiné à convertir l'énergie de la houle. L'appareil (200) comprend une pompe (200) servant à pomper du fluide hydraulique dans un circuit hydraulique en boucle fermée de l'appareil (200). Un clapet anti-retour (215) de sortie et un clapet anti-retour (221) d'entrée contribuent à réguler la direction d'écoulement du fluide le long du circuit. L'appareil (200) comprend également des accumulateurs (2212, 214, 222, 223, 226) et des soupapes (224, 225) de décharge.
