Selon l'invention, lors de la mise en uvre d'un procédé (200) de mise à jour d'informations de présence pour une pluralité d'entités d'informations de présence dans un système de communication, un serveur de présence : définit (204) un groupe d'entités d'informations de présence qui partage la même valeur pour un premier attribut de présence ; reçoit (210) une mise à jour de la valeur du premier attribut de présence pour une des entités d'informations de présence dans le groupe ; et applique (212) la mise à jour de la valeur à toutes les entités d'informations de présence dans le groupe.
