Summary:In order to provide a curable casting compound for producing plastic molded parts, comprising a binder component on the basis of polymerizable monomers selected from the group consisting of methyl acrylate or methyl methacrylate and having a proportion of about 40 to about 85% by weight of one or more inorganic filler materials, which compound can be used for producing plastic molded parts having an increased impact strength, it is proposed for the casting compound to comprise 0.1 to 0.5% by weight of keratin fibers.
