Summary:The invention relates to a particulate material for controlled release of active ingredients, the particulate material comprising a combination of one or more active ingredients, excluding nicotine, and an inorganic mineral filler, wherein the active ingredient is reversibly absorbed into and/or adsorbed onto the inorganic mineral filler, and wherein the BET specific surface area of the inorganic mineral filler is above 15 m2/g, the BET specific surface area measured in accordance with ISO 9277. The invention is particularly advantageous for controlled release of active ingredients.
