Summary: | With a replacement blade for ice hockey, it is known to have a short shank that inserts into a shaft made of composite materials. This known design allows the shaft to be the point of flex when a shot is taken. In this invention, the shank for the replacement blade is made longer and has a tapered shape to allow the shank to perform most of the flex. Allowing the shank to be the predominant flex point will produce a lower kick-point and increase puck velocity for younger players. |
